I changed the steering wheel which obviously means taking the airbag off, since I put it back on the horn blows everytime I turn the Wheel, quite embarrasing to be honest is there something I should be checking as I don't know where to start???

ye theres a contact on the steering wheel and my guess is its bent out of shape u can see it, its the copper strip that bends around a screw for the stalks stop that touching what its earthing on, an it should be ok

Cheers Fella I had a feeling it would be that copper strip as it came out and was a nightmare to get back in.

Is it supposed to be tight in the middle or lose around the outside (i.e. not touching the centre atall?)

If this doean't work then how feasable is it to move the horn down to one of the unused buttons on the centre console?

True I do know a fella who let's minor points slip for a beer or two but call me boring I would rather like my car to be fully legal, but for the meantime which fuse is it as it drive everyone mad when I move it in and out of the Garage?

Coilies aren't on as the car has barely moved in 18 months and I haven't got the new suspension arms, track rod ends and top mounts yet.

I know it's been ages but I've got transport (that's the best way to describe a 1.0 Yaris) and my priority has been sorting out bits for new house, Holiday to Thailand and paying off my Credit cards since the B@stards upped my APR by 12% etc the past 12 months, trust me I have the speed bug again after driving that Yaris for this long I can't take it anymore.

Mine did this when I replaced my pedal box, I didnt put the airbag/horn wire in the steering wheel properly so there was a high point on the contact. Once i rerouted the airbag/horn wire in the housing the contact sat flush :)
