Horn + water = embrassing

Hi all,

Since fitting my fmic and relocating my horn to where the smic was, it has started getting the same problem as it did on my MY01 leon i had a few years ago, which is it fills up with water!

So i try giving someone the horn (so to speak lol) just to have this duck like sound come from the bonnet. great!

Anyway I've had enough with these stupid trumpet like horns which constantly fill up with water, so was after a different type.

Anyone got any suggestions of what horns to get? I was contemplating getting a volvo one (they are a different design so wouldnt suffer from water, and plus are loud!)

you sure your actually fitting it at the right angle to prevent water getting in?
i got mine fitted there and not got a single problem!

fitted it the way it said in the instuctions

Maybe should get some of the hours like the ones on www.hornblasters.com

you could mount your horn so its facing down?
or get a siren horn and have it sounding like a cow

I have 2 tone air horns, soon moves the fookers out of the way!

My kit car horn is truely magnificent for a car no one can see they definitely hear the horn(if they havent already heard the engine) check out car builders solutions shouldnt be more than about £5-10 and if youve done the fmic a small bracket will be simple then earth and pos = done

air horns sounds quite an interesting idea

Might pop down the local fire station and nick the air horn of one of the appliances
