Hi, ive bought some cupra sideskirts for my 1.4 they come with the fixings that have a screw through them that go under the car somewhere but no others or is there not any?

Can anyone tell me how to fit them to my 1.4 model please? could i just tiger seal them on? and do the little clips with screws underneath clip onto the bead on the sill?

Thanks

Depends, did you get them new or secondhand? I got 1.6 sport skirts second hand from another user on here. They take a bit of bodging, but I could get some pics... if you want...

There used but in good nick there being sprayed at the moment and i cant remember much about them tbh.

Some pictures would be great please mate.

Thanks

First. undo the screws on the what will be underside of the skirts, and push the clips over the rail that runs down the side of the car, the one you put your jack on to take the wheel off ;) Then do the screws up.

This will make them stay in place, but will likely not hold them in place properly. Take the screw shown below out, and put an extra long screw through the skirt, and into the existing hole.

If that doesn't hold it up, drill a hole in the front wing (where you want, so that the side skirt doesn't get in the way of the door, but doesn't drop so low it looks odd) Like below.

This should make the front sit against the body properly.

If the back doesn't sit right, I cured this by drilling another hole in the underside of the car in the same recess as the other clip/screw combo, but toward the edge of the car, like below ;)
