How do I remove this wire harness ?

Hey,

Sorry new here and I am just generally not very good with this sort of thing. I can’t figure out how to remove this wiring harness from the socket, I’m trying to test the connector plates on the other side with a multimeter to figure out which one is the reverse positive light (for a camera).

There’s 3 cables going into it, perhaps someone may also be able to advise which cable is the reverse positive would save me from having to disconnect it.

Any advise appreciated or if someone can point me in the right direction, I have had a look at some YouTube videos but they don’t actually explain how to remove the harness and most of them seem to just pull it out (not the same harness though).

I have a 2012 Seat Leon Copa if that helps

Thanks for replying, I’m not sure what tab you are referring to? I’ve attached some more detailed photos. Also this tab you are trying to highlight to me is that something I am pressing down with my fingers, a needle, flathead screwdriver ?

Sorry my mistake from the new photos you’ve put up I can see I was wrong these tabs I’ve highlighted are stoping you from pulling the connector out. Use a flat head to Open these up afew mm until you can pull the plug out.

Thanks I managed to take it off! Think I found the reverse cable, the purple one on the outside. It’s the only one testing for live but the voltage reading on it is quite low like 0.1V is that normal ?

Hi mate I’m sorry I have no clue about that system so can’t advise further. Hope someone else with my experience on this might be able to point you in the right direction tho.
