How do I reset the window control?

Normally, I push the button one click and it winds down until I remove my finger. Then push it down two clicks and I can remove my finger and it would continue to open.

But it's stopped working and to open the window I have to keep my finger on the button no matter how many clicks I do.

Apparently this can be reset by doing a combination of holding it down for X seconds, then up for another X seconds. Has anyone heard of this?

Not sure if I want a trip to the dealer...!

It may be different for the Leon and im sure some1 will know but for my previous car.....

Push the button down till it reaches the bottom and keep the button down for a few seconds. U will maybe hear a click. Then pull the botton till it reaches the top and again hold the button for a few seconds like before.

Do one window at a time
Use the button on each seperate door, NOT the master controls on the drivers door.

Hope it works mate.

I tried your suggestion but it didn't work. Looked in the book though and it said to reset you need to hold the button up until the window closes, then lift the button up for one second.

And it worked! Window now working fine :D

A while ago I had the same problem. The night before it happened I was playing in the setup menu and changed something, I don't recall what it was (sorry).

The next morning, the auto operation stopped on the drivers window but all the others worked fine, in addition the mirrors would no longer fold when holding the lock button on the key and it also seemed like the soundacktor(sp?) stopped working when shifting to sport on the DSG.

A couple of days passed and I'd already tried the reset method mentioned above with no luck.

Then I remembered that I'd changed something in the setup menu, so changed it back and back again, and all these issues were corrected. I'm guessing it had done some bad coding and corrupted a few things.

To reset the windows do you close the window fully let go of the button and then pull up again for a second time for 1 second? None of my windows auto down or up and my mirrors don't auto fold if set in setup but will close if I hold the keyfob close button
