how do you tell a 140 to 170 bhp leon mk2

As my title says, is there a 140 fr and a 170 fr and how do you tell,

Yes there were two versions of the FR in the mk2 FL.

The 140 BHP comes with 5-speed gearbox. IMO the 140 is not a proper FR
and price difference between the 140 and 170 ain't much either.

Thanks for the info. So its only the fl that was a 140bhp option, I've got 57 plate, and 6 speed I thought I was buying the 170bhp.I was a bit concerned as my dash computer is different to some I have seen, and the fuel and temp gauges are in different locations. And it doesn't tell us the doors are open etc,

What the reason for that difference?

Are you sure it's a proper fr and not a reference sport with fr bumpers?

I hope its a proper fr. If not ill be going back to the dealer for a refund, I checked the reg on the dvla web site. It's the higher tax band so I'm expecting it to be the fr 170bhp.

is there a lower spec dash clock set? I have the fuel computer, esp, cruise control. Etc. But as I said earlier the fuel and temp gauges are above instead of either side of it.

if its not 170 on a pre f/l then its not an fr. the 140s were brought in on the facelift model.

it should come up on a dvla check if you do an insurance quote and type the reg no in, thats easy way to check it

That little dash your on about is only in cars with blutooth, you have the smaller screen the same as mine and you flick through the options with the end buttons on the wiper stalk?

I've a 140 with a 6 speed gearbox!

I'm sure mine Is a 170bhp now. Mine defo don't have Bluetooth. Only a Parrott kit. So I'm happy now..
