Kalispera to all of you,but especially to you my friend.Consider how would you feel if you were the first to have a leon TDI FR...in greece!A country where diesel cars are only 1.5 % of the total!!!!!
I have so many worries this moment and for the time that it will take for the company to import the car(its a special order, and i have to wait at least for three months!!!).So,what are you thinking now about luck....

To be honest my friend I still had to wait three months when I ordered it admittedly it wasn't out for three months when I ordered, but I did have to wait.....I am just fortunate to live in a country where the imported car market for diesel sports car are strong......hope you enjoy your car, but think about this, eventually around the UK there will be hundreds of FR's meaning I will not feel as special as I do right now, since I still haven't seen another one on the roads, but with your self more than likely any other person who has an FR you will probably know and thus will be very rare especially for resell value....have you tried buying a spanish one?? It may be a bit more expensive but a lot quicker....
there's a thought......

Here's my little beauty, on 18" rims :)

http://www.chjmarfleet.plus.com/leon.html

Picked up my little 4 legged mate from Heathrow the same day, he had just arrived from Sydney and was not a fan of the leon boot liner on the trip back, but keeps it nice and clean, so he will have to live with it.

Difficult choice on the day deciding which one (dog or car) I was more pleased to see !

nice in the silver I have seen a black and silver FR on 18's and it looks better than with the 17's on, however when it comes to the red, grey and bue I think the 17's are better, and not to forgot easier to clean.....what version you got the TFSI or TDI? also any extras (apart from the 18's of cause)?? I love the TDI it is so rampant in the middle puts the old Cupra 225 to shame....I have been up against a Golf GTI and it struggled to keep up with me, which pleased me, I was torn between the TFSI and the TDI but I am so glad I got the diesel, I love em'.....the added bonus is that the PD box I had for my old TDI 150 works in it and takes it to 207 but at the mo the bog standard 170 will suffice...
cheers

I have an agreement with my best friend,he owns a new golf gti (petrol),who;s car is faster?i know that the tdi is stronger(much more Nm),but i do not know if that means that no matter it has 30 ps less than golf,it's faster. And what about on open road?
i do 170 km per day on motorway, which behaviour you have noticed gain less consumpion and good average speed?
and a last question, what type of tires do you suggest me?
thanks a lot

Also got a TDI FR in Red

I got my FR mid july its red, 18's, bluetooth, auto wipers / lights and has a cruise light (bigger display for bluetooth). Ive done 1200 Miles and am currently averaging 41mpg through mainly urban driving (not slow).
The handling is superb and its very rapid, i also have had a 150Tdi golf with a power box , This was quicker than the leon with savage power delivery from 1800rpm although it had had enough by 4000, the leon will pull to 4500 before it tails off.
I like the leon very much but it has a fault that causes it to missfire, loose power, idle roughly and sound shocking. I think Howard on here also has the same fault with his FR Tdi , has anyone else got this problem? it was fine until around 700miles on the clock.

you are absolutely correct the Golf GTI is of cause faster the extra 30 ps does make the difference but unfortunatly driven right the 350nm of torque in the TDI 170 enables a more powerful pull of momentum and i was on the open road when i raced against the GTI but admittedly it was only up to 90 mph I know that at speeds of 120 mph onwards the Golf GTI/FR TFSI would start to leave the TDI behind, but when do we have chance to do that....

Its the TDI FR, 1st diesel I have owned and more than happy with it at the moment, only extra's it has apart from the 18" rims, is blue tooth, and I got a boot liner and the seat roof racks, if I was prepared to wait the 3 months they were quoting me for an custom order, would have ordered the zenith grey, got the usb, light/rain sensor, parking sensors, but basicaly needed the car immediately and got a great deal :D

Read a few reports in the forum about a problem with the TDI engine playing up, crossing my fingers that mine will not start doing the same.

Sounds cool man, I haven't looked at any forums yet and haven't heard on the grapevine about any TDI problems, my theory is while the car is under warranty Seat have a duty to keep me happy NO MATTER WHAT happens, so no point reading too much into it, know this the moment anything happens to your car, you get yours straight in the dealership, grab a courtesy car off em, and don't take in all this waiting list bullshit, YOUR without a car, THEY have a duty to sort you out...enjoy your car and don't worry I'm not.....cheers..

Well it's not quite a VTEC which revs up to the stratosphere, but you being a TDI 130 driver will understand that the majority of the TDI grunt is at the low end and flits out after 3000 revs but the 2.0 TDI 170 is tuned to race and pulls beautiful at the top end...it really loves to be raced.....
