2001 LC, 86500 mls, owned for 5 years, only things that have gone are a temp sensor, and a front spring. other than that it's just servicing and wear and tear items ( cam belts, water pump, cv gaiter, battery, ect)

Oh, sorry forgot to mention, leaky door seals, there is a guide on here for sorting them though.

Mine is a 2003 lcr.owned for two years now.It had 25k when i got it,and its now got 33k.Done the usuall service stuff,the only thing that seems to wear out quickly is the front rollbar drop links,as im about to fit my 3rd set,and front tyres!!!

How could you tell they are worn out? Is your car lowered?

There was a quiet knocking noise on both sides of the car at the front,so i changed them,and the noise went.Now 12 months and a nurburgring trip later,it needs another set!!.Its at standard height....

Wow that's pretty quick wear for droplink bushes, isn't it usually top mounts that make a knocking noise?

Iv got a 54plate ibiza fr tdi, done 94,000 miles hasn't missed a beat since ive had it at 82,000 , just had cambelt and been serviced regularly, and normal stuff like brakes, and tyres

ive added another 17k to mine in the last year.i started this just over a year ago and life aint been easy, spring snapped, backbox broke and thermostat dead aswell but havent changed that yet.
still going strong and wouldnt change it for the world!

First off, I lied, mines an '00 X

Secondly its just about to tick over to 148,000 miles, since my last post its had new front pads, thermostat, a brake/tail light bulb and a central locking problem since we had snow which seems to be curing itself slowly.

It's all good fun!!

My TDI FR is on 43k on a 2005 model, Only owned it since january

1 Failure was front wheel bearing done under warrenty

Ive since changed the filters, new glow plugs and oil to make me happy with it on the mechanicals

Just been lowered with Eibachs
