Flew to Leeds to buy this baby and then drove 350 miles home to Aberdeenshire in North East Scotland. Full Recaro's and Sat Nav. Totally worth it!!

2005 FR TDI

Done 55k

Brake light switch has gone

Exhaust is slowly trying to peel it's way off the car

It rattles

The fuel filter leaked so that was replaced

It's on it's second set of brakes and pads and probably 4/5th set of tyres.

Just need to get those niggles fixed and it should be OK for another few years doing 25k+! Apart from the rattles it feels like a pretty fresh car!

In terms of actually buying a car (cupra r) i take it if it has been regularly serviced and mot'd etc you should not be put off by one with 100k plus??

A few for sale i have seen that are between 100 and 120k?

My leon has done roughly 95000 miles, but i think that's finally taking its toll on her though......

As she's in the garage for an assessment today, the usual suspects are being checked, ECU sending false signals - a small swimming pool developing in the rear of the car etc.

I expect a bill to be at least a foot long, but then my Cupra is worth every penny for the joy she gives me! ;)

Needless to say, the Seat bug has bitten me and i LOVE it!! hehe

dont bite my head off but had two fiats over the last 20 years punto and marea never had a single problem apart from temp sensor on the punto
got a 03 leon 110 se in march probs to date
turbo gave up the ghost
main fuse 110amp burn its holder
temp sensor
exhaust pipe bracket broke
i am at my whits end with this car it drives nice looks nice
but its cost me more in 8 months than my fiats have in 20 years should i get rid or keep the beast
sorry to be negative just frustrates me like hell

52k on an 05 plate for me, had it 6 months and bought it at 41k!

I love it :)

Although I've had some major issues with the dealer - Kendal SEAT, utter ****'s
