It is possible to get 360miles on a motorway journey! My record is 420miles on 1 tank.
Fuel tank holds 55 litres. Depending on how much youve drained it, it is possible to get 58-59 litres back in! Warning light comes on and youve got about 40-50 miles.
Normal usage is about 300 miles per tank even when remapped.
i drove mine up from portsmouth to fife, around 450 miles i think and i stopped once at gretna to fill the tank back up, and it was still showing just under half a tank, that was me doing mostly 70-80mph in daylight and 90-120 in the cover of darkness.
im my cupra (not an R) with mainly short journeys (5-10miles at a time) and the odd longer journey, i am getting about 300miles to a tank on average. i would say the R is around the same. sounds about the same from the above info anyways
Summat wrong with mine... i am getting nowhere near that sort of consumption.
What things would affect fuel consumption that badly??
EGR valve was the cause on my 1.6, but not sure if it is likely to be the same on my Cupra? Feels OK power wise though...
