Mork would u say that these graphs are similar i know rich has stage 2 and me stage 1 but looking at where the curve first starts to act weird i thought they looked almost identical
both of us were told we were running lean on this rolling road day and he has since been told that his ECU maybe knackered and i am concerned i am going to get told the same thing later today
well my car is at JKM today trying to find out why she is running lean and only pulling 217bhp and they had it all day yesterday and have not found anything wrong with it yet but rich had the same problem and was told his ECU was knackered
No good news then yet? They said it might be my ecu as my N75? valve is being told to work when it doesn't need to. I had a thought the other day that maybe an apexi boost controller could sort my problem as it stops the ecu telling the valve what to do and (AFAIK) is a stand alone boost manager.
it does presume that the a/f ratio equipment was correct & working well
ECU's could show 'leaner than expected' if the loading isn't right as it will just run into cruising along mode rather than full boost / load situation....
I'll have a look later at that original thread & see if there's an a/f ratio graph as well?
no still no news they have told me the n75 is fine the ecu is talking to the car fine and the car back to the ecu fine. They said that they had another cupra r in the other day with the same problem and that they were going to compare my graphs with theirs i was only assuming it was yours rich
all sods law after i have just brought my exhaust ready for stage 2 and now find out i may need a new ecu right before i go to the states, next thing to fail will be my water pump to take the micky.
Then again i am only jumping to conclusions and assuming they were talking about your car rich it maybe something different only time will tell i might ring them in a minute and see how its going
Mine is a boost spike and boost fluctuation which isn't hitting as high boost as i used to. Boost was holding at 22psi peaking at 25psi but now i'm lucky if it will hold 20psi.
just got of the phone and to them i am trying to remember everything Jim said, the other car is yours they were talking about but basically. The car in stock mode pulls 195bhp and when revo is turned on pulls 214bhp(3 less than before ), basically the car is meeting requested boost but the ecu is only requesting 1.3 to 1.4bar and the car is meeting over that.
The problem comes with the airflow they are only seeing 175g/s airflow with a brand new MAF. We know it should at least be 20g/s more than that. They are about to drop the exhaust and see if the airflow problem is there and at the same time take the TIP off to look at the turbo and see if they can see a blockage anywhere.
But they are still working on it and i will let you know what happens
