Do I install the patch using the same method as the firmware? Put it on an SD card and press install?

And that's it, job done?

I have successfully installed the firmware update.
Now trying to install the patch, when the car scans the SD card I get the screen below.
All the components are marked N/A and the start button is greyed out, so I can't press it.
Any ideas?

May as well just buy a better unit with two slots.

I have done this one time in the SWDL Mode also Manual forced Install and IT was working
Or modifd SWDL with ToolBox, i Dont know it any more
But i think it was Always an Error in the Log.

And how does he install the toolbox on a single slot unit ? only emmc or usb2hsd method is the option. Both a pain in the backside.

There is no password on mega unless you subscribe to a faster service. But firmware is a prohibited word here which puts your post on premod.

Well this is where we dont want to see it on the board why the word "firmware" is trapped. You can't trade on the board if you are not approved for that. Assume any PMs are done in a brotherly way. The copyright of the firmware is held with VAG not by the poster. We know that mib2 firmware has been modded by "enthusiasts" but essentially the distribution is still held by Vag however its been muddled with.

Just as a side note: with VC Tool I can make an offline copy of all data sets and flash files that are written to a control unit when an online ODIS connection is active What does VAG say about that?

I'd imagine that providing you don't then distribute those files, they wouldn't care.
