Does anybody know how to remove the green cap for the power steering reservoir on a Seat Leon S 03 reg petrol? It looks like a slotted screwdriver will do the job but I wondered if there was a special tool available? Also how often do you recommend checking the level and replacing fluid? Many thanks

Not sure if there is a special tool, ii've used a screw driver and pliers in the past. There's a dipstick on the cap.

Topped mine up once in 8 years.

I have checked mine hot and cold and the level never changed, don't think it matters to much as engine oil as that gets to 100 deg ish hence waiting for a bit to check the level so it can run down.
I hear what your saying but i really don't think it matters unlike the engine oil.
