LEON 20VT FR
Hi everyone.

I need to remove the front wing panel to fix an issue with my CAI. I bolted it too tight to the airbox bolt (I think) and it has broken off the welds, so now there is no-where to bolt the CAI to. I need to remove the wing panel so I can access the back to drill a hole and put in a bolt with washer.

Does the bumper need to come off? how about the sideskirts?

yeah - quite a lot needs to come off!

However - I would not do this as they're very hard to get off without bending / damaging

Try & secure the CAI another way?

I thought of using a self-tapping screw but really that would be a dodgy job I want to do it properly - If the CAI broke the welds on the existing bolt I'm sure it can rip out a self tapping screw. Of course, I wouldn't want to bent the wing either.

Could I access the back of that the panel by removing the wheel arch liner and wheel? I could drill it from inside the engine bay, all i need is to thread the bolt through.

Any other ideas?
