Hi,

Just wondering if there is an easy way to run a power cable from the battery through the bulkhead and into the car?

Cheers

i did it behind the glovebox too..

take it out and use a coathanger to go through, then tape the cable to it and pull through into the engine bay.

took me about 5mins. then i run that down the passenger side and the RCAs down the drivers side.

if you have a small/medium size amp then its ok to take the power like the link LEE69 have posted.

i did it from the battery and all the way to the rear. if you want to do it this way, the easyest is to take of the airbox, and the wiper arms.
now from the battery to the wiper area there is a black plastic tray, where all wires are running, use that for the amp wire, and in th wiper area there is a white box, you can take of the top, and use one of the rubber gromets to get the amp wire through, and now you are inside the cabin, and just follow the side plastic panels to the rear.

Glove Box

I did mine a few weeks ago, massive gromit a main loom goes in to that appears behind the glove box. As Klone said, coat hanger through then tape the cable on and pull it through, but I went from engine bay into cabin not cabin into bay. Can try and get some pics in the morning if you need them?

Here's one posted on another post
(Can't post links as haven't made enough posts yet), but its (without spaces)

(right near the bottom of page 1) which I used as a guide

Again like Klone I ran power down passenger and RCA down drivers side.

Have a look on the last page on my RR as it shows the grommet, etc to use
Mine is back to front now though, battery in back feeding power to front:confused:

Not sure if this is any use or not as only had my Leon a few weeks and fingers crossed no water :) but on other cars pollen filter can be the cause of soaking floors (or do you mean under the actual sill's where you'd run the cables?)

It's not actually in the car yet, I hope.... Basically once it has rained I go out and open the drivers side door and a load of water falls out onto my feet?!!

Gonna check all the carpets now just in case.......

Pics

Took some pics this morning of how I did mine

Link below (without spaces) - can't post links normally until 15 posts :(

Metal coat hanger was sharp enough to pierce the gromit/sound proofing, had to give it a bit more of a prod than I expected but all came through perfect.
