Not that im disagreeing but we have had a few 105PD Octavias rolling roaded at actually 120bhp. Still one hell of a jump but you get my point.

If they got 185 from an engine that started as a 120, then that's about the same percentage increase as Jabba reckon to get from the PD100 :)

but like all others the PD100 doesn't come with 100hp, more like 112 or there abouts. I would agree on an honest +45-50hp gain from standard so 120+50 = 170, which is still 20 shy of 190.

The other thing that seems strange is the almost 50hp loss @ the wheels, which in my opinion is also to high for a FWD car.

The 105 is pretty much a pd130 IIRC tweeked for emissions..

limiting factor on these is the clutch which is smaller than the pd130 one was, and starts to slip over 150bhp

Neo, assuming that when we talk about 105 PD we're talking same engine called 100 PD and sometimes 101 PD, there are actually some important differences between it and the 130/150/160 versions,,,
take a look at this thread by micky,,, some quite big differences: head bolts, block, pistons, conrods, crankshaft, injectors and turbo,,, just to say the more important ones.
this is why I don't believe it can go up to 185hp,,, I'd like to point out that max constant pressure for the VNT-15 is around 1.2 bar after that you gonna kill it,,,
now, we all know that the better performing 130/150 needs way more than that pressure to reach 180+ hp. With this in mind, I'd say that a 100/105 with stock injectors would need higher pressures than a 130/150 does to get to 180+ hp,,, this would mean something like 1.8 bar constant if not more,,,
anybody in here thinking a vnt-15 could take this for more than 1 minute???

IIRC we arent. The 105 engine is bascially a de tuned 130, still has the FMIC etc.
