I will just be happy with stage 2+ plus mate but I want the power to be useable which is why I have opted for the LSD and clutch kit etc. May do the odd track day and 1/4 mile so looking to get decent times on the strip which again is where the LSD is gonna make all the difference. I personally don't think stage 3 is worth it especially on a FWD car. I am not too far of your spend amount either mate tbh.

Jc you could have bought a brand new car! Finances must have seriously worked out well for you! After thinking the mk5 went due to cash reasons!

Haha looking forward to this!

Well I have now ordered this:

http://www.backdraftmotorsport.com/...2-uprated-clutch-kit-2.0tfsi/flypage.tpl.html

Should arrive tomorrow. HPFP are not available yet so should only be arriving from the states next week I was told. Will order that next week then.

That clutch wont be much cop with Revo stage 2+
Revos figures for stage 1 are 310lb/ft and 420 Nm , the clutch you linked is 349 lb/ft and 475 Nm , sounds a false economy fitting that.
i am sure stage 2 + will be a lot more than those figures.

At first the beeza was due to cash reasons AND reliability concerns. Doing all these mods have pushed me way into the red BUT i like doing things like this to cars and it brings me pleasure. As long as my bills get paid I am happy :D

I spoke to the guys at backdraft and they were sure it would be more than sufficient for stage 2+. I can tailor the setting on the map if I really want to and reign in the torque a bit but will cross that bridge when I get to it.

i dont see the point of reinng the settings in? why not just upgrade right first time , if this was my money i would be on the phone to Revo first asking for a recommened clutch then researching around.
but its your money mate so you have to go with what you feel is best.

That's the same kit on mine mate.

With regard to the hpdp, when I finally get some cash spare. I'm going for a Autotech, but I know a company who manufacture seals. So will get a seal kit from SEAT, then see if they can reproduce using higher spec materials.

I have left a message as I will be speaking with them again tomorrow to double check compatability. If not I will get them to send the right ones and pay the difference if necessary. I think the figures are just wrong on the site but will make sure.

£650 for the HPFP, wow didn't realise they we're that much!

That is the best price I could find mate as other places are asking over £800.00!!!!

Stage 2+ is absolutely rapid, so if you do it properly I'm sure you won't care about the price once it's all hooked up :)

Good colour choice btw :)

Autotech internals are around £350.

A couple of tuners I've spoken to recently do say that Autotech & KMD failures are often due to incorrect map settings, but I've not really seen/know enough to have an informed opinion. So don't want to stir it too much :handbags:

For the (relatively) few failures of the Autotech pumps that we've seen there are thousands more being run for thousands of miles with no issues whatsoever (I hope I'm one of these! I've done 10k already). That said, the extra £300-£400 for the APR pump and peace of mind may well be worth it. I'd be surprised if there haven't been APR failures though.

Are you running stage 2+ mate. That is some serious torque there and if that is your figure I may need to change the clutch kit I have ordered as it does fall short on their figures :(

I'd recommend you do change it mate. A lot of REVO ST2+ cars produce higher torquer figures than mine, but obviously some are lower. Either way you'll be in excess of 350lbs.

I notice these after market clutch kits are mostly good for around 350 - 360lbft. As I am pushing 390lbft (but only go that far on relatively rare occasions) would it be worth the effort of replacing with something other than OEM or just stick to a standard one and be gentle (mostly!) with my right foot?

Sure they will. Worst case you have to return it and pay a handling charge. No biggie. Better than having it fitted and having it slip!

Will have a chat tomorrow. They have not even shipped it yet so I may ok. Can any one post a link here where I can get the sachs one from then please?
