 Yes just the od weekend will do me......This guy in South Africa what did he use to do 12 do you know and would there be a link to his car I can use maybe YouTube??

Yes it would be fine then. You don't need to change anything on your car for a stage 1 Revo and you can achieve 300bhp. But remember not all cars take to the mapping the same. so you might be under the estimate! :D

do you know anything about the company jbs in derbyshire there remaps are mapped to suit the car ...

Spoken to the guy that did the mapping there and he sounded like he knew what he was on about. Have seen some of there figures and it looked good. He got the torque figure higher then the HP so it means that the mapping he uses is colder then the hotter maps used by Revo. :)

APR Pump is the only one I would trust to be honest. Autotech and KMD internals utilised inside the standard pump are pushing on standard seals when running 130+Bar of fuel pressure - these are not as strong/durable as the tested kits that come out from APR.

The problem with the APR is that because it is so expensive, people are willing to risk failure with an item (internals kit) which costs sometimes 1/3 the price, and most of them get away with the gamble.

Don't get me wrong, I used a KMD pump in my old car and it was fine for a lot of miles, and it is being used in 2008 Leon Cupra now and still with no issues, but APR put a guarantee on their unit - something neither KMD or Autotech do. JKM no longer supply pump internals due to the number of failures they saw with them.

In addition, when it comes to clutch kits, there is a forum member on here who has had an engine go on his Cupra, supposedly caused by the introduction of an uprated clutch. The company who inspected it put it down to the excess force/pressure/movement on the 2 bearings at the crank by the uprated clutch and apparantely a few TFSi's have let go this way. The older 1.8T engines used 4 bearings and never saw this issue.

Also, the "silent" clutch kits mentioned above are reported to be less silent after the initial couple of thousand mile bedding in period.

Oh dear, and the search continues yet again LOL. What else would I need then? I have full TBE, twintercooler, ITG induction, coillies, ARB's. Getting the HPFP and will see about sourcing the clutch kit (maybe later when mine starts slipping) and then obviously the map. Missing anything?

Lightweight battery

Just a few I can think of from the top of my head ;)

LOL, I don't want to go THAT far overboard hehehehehehe. I have ordered the southbend clutch kit along with the flywheel. Drag spec one with the 6 paddle plate good for 500 odd pounds of torque so I reckon that should do the trick nicely. APR fuel pump ordered AND peloquin LSD ordered. May as well get proper stuff so I can have peace of mind.

I am confused now Al?

I am going WMI and it does need the right settings to work properly. If you don't use the settings right it will not give you that edge. You can expect 20bhp more but your torque figures will go up 30lbs. It will cool the combustion chambers by 300 degrees. A huge improvement for extra boost if you wish to boost at 8 6 7 or 6 settings.

Seriously have you ordered as much money's worth in mods to the value of the car already?!?!

Nope, car cost 11K I am still agood few thousand short of that hahahahahahahaha

Just a few?! LOL you'll be close to 11 by the time you finish this thread

Still, rather you than me right now!

My next car will very likely be running the same engine though, so I've enjoyed reading this thread guys and girls.

Al - some great info you've given there mate, nice one ;)

what was your new insuarance quote with ll the mods you have planned?

Have not quoted it yet tbh as by the time I fit all these I will have 3 years NCB so it would vary but not too bad actually.
