Hi all, ive abit of a problem id like some advice on,

Basically before i take my car in for a respray i decieded to get the arches rolled to fit my new wheels. When i got the car back they hadnt fitted the rear spacers back on as they couldnt find the reason i had them on

After that i have noticed a humming , like tyres humming. I notice it most when on the motorway or a roads. Dosnt particualluy sound like a wheel bearing , plus only had a mot 2 months ago with no faults.

As yet i havnt had time to jack the car up and check or re fit the spacers and find out if it stops this?

Just wanted a few opinions on this really.

Thanks and a happy New Year to you all

Kieran

I have the same problem had a local garage check over the car thinking it was a wheel bearing and they said there fine ?

havent a clue what it is but its starting to get on my nerves

Me neither is queit annoying . The trouble is i bought mine with the spacers on the back so have no idea if this is normal?

Cars in to get some coilovers fitted and tracked up on friday so will have to see.

If your wheel bearings are fine then this will be the sound of "tyre wear" - when your tread wears low/your tyres are getting old they tend to make a noise. I have it on my Cupra and it's a different sound on different sufaces!

had the car in today,

had fk konigsports fitted today and turns out that the whel bearing on the rear had gone . Had a new one fitted and job done.

Next bodyshop on the 15th. money money money lol
