What's the real pure electricity consumption for Cupra Formentor Hyprid. Yes it's cold (5 Celsius), heated seats are on, short distance trip, but electricity consumption looks shocking (more than 30kW)
It's not the end of the world... that energy consumption over 5 km, is not really relevant. If you had the Climate control set to a "decent" temperature and the heated seats on, a good chunk of that energy went into heating. The terrain profile is also very important for such a short distance... uphill or downhill.
I wouldn't worry if I were you, unless you see excessively high consumption averaged over longer distances on quasi-flat terrain.

I agree with that. BTW, it's not different on petrol or diesel cars, which can have higher consumption than 20l/100km on very short distance...
Especially, if you have major equipments on (heated seats, or even heated steering wheel, anti-icing windshield, etc.)
Take a non electric car, with petrol engine, make a 5km trip and see the consuption, its the same ! its average consuption per 100km you need bigger trips to get lower AVERAGE CONSUPTION ,
to find your real consumption : (5x39,6)/100=1.98kwh lower than a toast maker
I recently got a non-VAG self charging full hybrid, and during short journeys in cold weather conditions I can see the long term average fuel consumption dropping as I drive. This didn’t come as a surprise to me and I was expecting it as fuel consumption from the ICE is poorer in colder weather and the traction battery is less efficient too - particularly noticeable during cold weather on short journeys.
As other posters have said, the position stabilises on longer journeys.
