Bill, do you think your 1/4 mile time suffers due to traction issues off the line?
Originally I was well impressed with 13.4s but then my mates RX-7 done 13.6 at Santa po twice and I don't consider his car to be particularly quick... well not stunningly so anyway!

Yeah I know yours is much faster, as does he (He too drove the Jabba demo car). My point is, what sort of 1/4 mile time do you think yours has theoretically (ie. if traction wasn't an issue, eg. if it was rwd)? Must be like 12 seconds?
I'm not questioning your power... I'm just saying that its even more powerful than the 1/4 mile time suggests. Which is good!
Can't wait for mine!

Not just looking at quaife to be honest... golf had that and it was not great. there are other options in europe which i am also investigating...Originally posted by BenS1
I wasn't suggesting that 12 seconds was actually do-able, its just that if we think of it as being a 13.4 second car then if we look at other 13.4 second cars then you'd assume that their peformance is similar.... but in reality the Ibiza would still whip them as it really performs as a say 12 second car once it gets over the traction issues.
Where do you get drag tyres from?
Gearbox clearly is an issue... I hope Jabba update their website! See bottom of:

"5 speed synchromesh in standard form will take 270lb ft, with Quaife ATB diff will take 320lb ft. Can also be upgraded to 6 speed with Quaife gear set in either syncro or dog engagement in this form will take 400lb ft".
I guess you're going for the Quaife gear set?
Cheers
