So I’ve had a lease car for the last two years and it’s coming to an end. I decided against getting another one so that I could save up for my dream car (R32).
Wanted something VAG as a run about until I can afford the 32. Saw a 1.4 TDI Ibiza for sale - £500. Best mate used to own one so knows it like the back of his hand, so I took the plunge.
It’s pretty battered on the outside (as you can imagine) and is currently on 164,500 miles (these PD engines are insane)! So we’ve just decided we’re going to have some fun with her and try fix her up!
Since picking the car up on Saturday, we’ve managed to do the following:
With much more to come! Looking forward to sharing further progress of this ‘build’ with everyone. Coilovers arriving this week and hoping to fit over the weekend and will be changing the oil - pictures to follow!

Rear wiper delete
Rear badge delete
Fixed issue with passenger side lights (fuse issue - F7 to be precise)
LED interior light
LED number plate light
Painted drums & calipers
Air, pollen and fuel filter changed (thanks to a sticky guide on the forum - need to say thanks!)
