Hi

I've currently got a PD100 on 53k, it's been mapped to 145hp and 250ft lb with K&N panel filter and decat.

I'm planning on fitting PD150 headbolts and PD130 turbo and injectors. Also fitting the PD130 intake manifold and PD160 intake.

Also upgrading engine/gearbox mounting and fitting 312mm front discs with TT calipers and 6 speed hubs.

Would I need to fit a FMIC?

What kind of power could I expect after a map?

Can PD100 internals handle the power reliably?

Thanks
S

You'll want an FMIC to get the best out of those mods, the standard cooler is pretty ****.

I don't think the PD160 intake is really necessary, the normal one isn't a restriction till you go over 200BHP IIRC.

You'll have to change the hubs to fit the 312mm brakes as the ones fitted to the PD100 models are incompatible.

Don't waste your money on a plastic tube (PD160 Intake) as R3k1355 said, it's only restrictive over 190bhp (tried and tested with GTB1756VK turbo)

With the setup you mentioned expect about 175bhp / 180bhp (really pushing the PD130 turbo here) and around 300ft/lbs.

The stock 5 Speed 02J gearbox isn't really a fan of huge torque and the little 228mm clutch will no doubt slip when you start going big power.

It's unwritten but the PD100 is good for around 200bhp (according to some) but it's not BHP that kills, it's TORQUE

As Michael said when asked the best way to Cork - "Well I wouldn't start from here."
What is the appeal in taking one car and trying to turn it into another one?
Is it the result of Meccano deprivation in early childhood?
