ill have a look exactly what its called but it was gunk degreaser in a green tin but be careful with it on painted surfaces as mine ended up with white streaks through leaving it on to soak too long while i washed the rest of the car. it t-cutted off though luckily. but i used that, hot soapy water, & just general scrubbing until my arm went dead. its that waxoil **** they get sprayed with when bought new. supposed to protect it but it just attracts dirt & is a twat to get off.
well... not really much to update on but ive taken it off the road this week as im sick to death of this racket its been making so heres how it stands at the min
and the front
ive narrowed it down to either the inner cv joint or the diff bearing thats rattling, so ill try a new drive shaft & failing that its a new gearbox.
ive taken this opportunity to underseal this inner arch seeing as its empty at the min although it will be getting another coat
and whilst i had the camera out & i was bored so i used this as an opportunity to show some of the bits on the car.
heres the lowering spring seeing as they were already on before i started my r/r thread
honeycomb grills
mudflaps with seat logo on
colour coded mirrors
& i retro fitted aero wiper blades although im going to get some facelift arms when i get round to it
yeah its rather loud considering its a standard system. not overly loud but louder than it was. its got a nice note on tickover but it isnt loud when you give it a boot full. im happy with it as i didnt want it chavvy
also, while im here, i may as well update this with a couple of other bits ive been doing...
painted engine cover to match the bodywork
& i also bought the proper fr lower skirt for the bumper to get the exhaust on, rather than just cutting it as id rather have a factory look. so fitted that & colour coded it like i did the standard one.
