Ibiza Computer display and settings

I just need a few answers for some issues im having with the settings of my ibiza computer.


1. When i start the engine the computer has automatic settings of air-con on at a fan setting of 4 bars.....consiquently i get blown away in an icy breeze.

2. In the place of the exterior temperature there is what appears to be a digital clock figure with a sqaure clock next to it. This is additional to the digital clock figure and is in the top right hand corner. what is this?? how can i remove it?

3. i have heard you can get a mpg figure on the computer... is this true

I'm not sure on the 1.6 sport. on my cupra i have a sliding button on the wiper stalk which changes the trip computer. my dad has a 1.6 cordoba and it doesn't have this?????

yeah i got that sliding button on the right steering stork. il have a play and see what happens. cheers for that

Well that will change it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you got an owners manual. Have a look at it!!!!! As to ask questions about buttons on the dash and what do they do will annoy some people on here!!!!!

The aircon on mine automatically comes on if i have the blowers set on my window so if you change them to facing at your feet or towards you that should sort it

yeah auto climate makes the blowers go nuts when set to the demist the window

the clock thing is a trip time i think?

the slider thing moves to mpg but you may find it doesnt read anything. hopefully it does.

best advice is to keep an eye out on ebay for an owners manual

Yes, turn off auto and then the fan doesnt go nuts. Its the auto climate control trying to get it to your set temp as soon as possible. just damn annoying really.

Acid is right above, it is trip time, reset by holding in the button on the underside of the stalk, this also resets the mpg store.
