ibiza cupra 2012 - temperature light

Hey guys,
Hopefully one of you can help.
My temperature light came on this morning. I stopped the car immediately.
Started the engine again and the light went off.
Seems to drive okay, but only travelled at slow speed.
It may just be me being paranoid because the light came on but it now seems to be making a funny noise.
Not 100% sure though.
Any ideas?

Have you checked you have coolant? Also is the supercharger working, the water pump may of gone.
