Progress Update

So, a quick update on progress so far.

With the help of a friend, I have removed my front bumper and the intercooler. We poured water into the intercooler and it proceeded to trickle out of a number of places at the bottom where the fins meet the end tanks. I have decided that the only course of action was to get a new intercooler. I found a place called THS Performance and have ordered their direct replacement part. AwesomeGTI stock this item and it is only £280 including VAT. So long as it works fine, it's a great price. I have also got the Forge FMIBMAP pipe ready to fit to replace the pancake pipe. Hopefully this will give a nice little boost too.

After removing the undertray, I noticed that there is a small amount of oil residue around the join between the turbo and the pipe attached directly to it. I have decided to order the Forge uprated pipe for here too. Hopefully it will all arrive before the end of the week and I will get it all fitted by the weekend. I will report back here on the results with some pics too!

Hi, yeah the steps I mentioned seemed to fix the white smoke problem. It deffo seemed to be all down to oil leaks in the system, I didn't have any other things I needed to fix. Check for oil leaks at all stages would be my advice.
