i have a pd160 air intake , K&N panel filter and a Jabbasport stage 2 remap on my polo pd130 and she makes 175bhp and 306lbs , id guess the 0-60 to be around 7-7.5 seconds maybe . Cost around 400 for the custom remap i think , id recommend jabba if you are close. :)

Think you will struggle to match either of those cars tbh, not straight line anyway, both are capable of 0-100 in 16 secs or so, diesels are not great for traffic light grand prix, but mid range with a stage 1 remap and some handling/braking mods you should be able to hold your own mid range. Ive got 200bhp in my cupra tdi and would feel fairly confident of beating stock VXR or Type r as ive run level with a Focus st 2.5..

How far are you off your mates vxr now..?

You should be up with standard vxr's and type R's with some tuning...

All i have is:
a pd160 intake/ green cotton filter
an uprated sach clutch
and a stage 2 Jabba map
im running 190 bhp and 320 foot pound of torque
(and with a milltek exhaust and a fmic hopefully more)

handling wise: i have the full eibach set up,
30mm lowering springs
Cupra bushes
and anti roll bars

and you'd be very close with both corsa vxrs and type r's if not beating them as i can beat cupra R's by a few lengths

I have a Fabia VRS (pd130), remapped 160-275, green cotton filter. I was very close in the 1/4 mile with a vxr corsa.
The list of mods above should see some good gains!

wow, my car just has a remap and we pulled on a vxr corsa over 80, every car maps differently I suppose. They are quick cars though so even to be equal with them is good out a diesel!

p-torque stage 1 remap = £265
Pd160 intake= £50 second hand
Green panel filter = £35
Turbo-back decat Milltek full system = £350

50mm lowering dampers and matched springs =£200
whitleline RARB= £130
20mm spacers = £60
cupra bushes = need these soon
312mm audi TT brakes with matching discs and pads = £200 second hand..alomost sorted

this is what i have and running 24psi on boost and been RR'ed at 177bhp and 300lbs torque that was without any mods just a remap

after that you would be looking at FMIC, Clutch and then hyprid turbo to get to stage2/3

£1500 should see you with a decent set of coilies/dampers+springs, full exhaust system, RARB, Spacers, Intake and a remap...

Depends how far ou they are from standard??? And tbh these engins run higher than stated typically. When you get one its almost garunteed to be over 130bhp. For some reason mine is reduculas for what its had done to it. I dont struggle to get past most cars anymore. Also just remember to keep it serviced properly. I do and oil and filter change myself every 5k and garage service per 10k.
Performance wise choose your map wisely, some companies will feel faster but in reality are slower. You want a smooth power graph.
Next i need a 160 intake lol (just stealers want 90 quid for a bit of effing plastic!) them fmic and tbh ill look at the exhaust later on!
But welcome to a world of constantly being skint my friend :p
