Ibiza Front Panal (will it fit?)

Sorry to start another post but i need to know if a front panal from a 2L 8v petrol model would fit my 1.9TDI? (both are mk2)

P.S. Before starting another thread, a bonnet, grille, bumber and airbag can come off a petrol car can't they? Thanks.

You might find that the intercooler mounts aren't on the petrol slam panel..... sometimes the rad's do mount differently depending on the model, but you can bodge that on easily enough.

bumpers/lights etc are the same

airbag controller will have fired, so it will never work again

Ah.., so i need a whole new system? Control unit (in centre console..?) and air bag unit? (inside steering wheel..)

Will a new unit go back into my steering wheel or will i need a new wheel? Is it even possible to buy an airbag unit and fit it into a steering wheel or do you have to buy the unit and wheel together? And, without being too dumb, i can get another control unit (that hasn't fired) and fit it, right?

LOL the weird thing is the air bag shouldn't have gone off anyway. The warning light came on about a month ago, i ran a scan and it came back with "driver's side ignition circuit' (or something), so i wasn't expecting it to work. So when it went off i sh*t myself

Airbag controller is in the back of the dash somewhere yes.... it's a one fire only item I think - airbags are easy to swap though
