Hello,

I have seat ibiza FR 2007 1.8T BJX . I'm searching the best for my buck intercooler upgrade.
What you will say about these thicker custom SMIC that are everywhere ? Are these SMIC for Golf4 gti are the same like mine.
I like this bolt on easy to replace solution. Is it any good ?
I know most of you would probably say "go for seat sport FMIC" , but they are 5 times more expensive.
After intercooler upgrade , I'm going for custom remap at 1.1 - 1.0 BAR .

Thanks.

Take a look at Forge, they do their own Seat Sport style FMIC, I know from experience they are very good bits of kit.

Is this DIRENZA side intercooler suitable for ibiza mk4 FR 1.8T ? The shame looks like the same .

I've no experience of it, but if you're going for a remap you really want to be upgrading to a decent FMIC, these cars do run very hot so the more cooling you can get the better you'll be. Don't waste money buying a better SMIC because you'll only end up buying a FMIC further down the line. Your money so it's up to you but I'd spend the extra and do it right first time around.

Ok, I'm going for universal FMIC ? What will be the best volume/ size intercooler ? We are talking for 1.1 bar peak boost remap.

Just get a seat sport one or a copy off ebay and make your own pipe work, can get a seat sport copy with 70mm end tanks for 150 quid, same type as my cupra one but bigger end tanks, would of thought u will have to butcher your front bumper which ever fmic u buy

This sounds reasonable. there will need pipes. Where the map sensor should be positioned - into the inlet or outlet ?

if ur on a budget could try one of these, no idea if its any good but can't see it being worse than a side mount

I'm going for this cooler.
Could you help me gather the necessary pipes and silicone connectors .
I would like to make it the same .
Look at the picture, I think it would be helpful .
