Hey guys,
For a bit of background, I have a mk5 ibiza 1.6 CR TDi that I recently had remapped (through shark performance) - 105bph to 135 (according to their info). Anyway I also saw a pretty decent improvement in fuel economy (from around 49mpg to around 57mpg).
I was recently out driving (mainly motorways) then got into the city and noticed when I was stopped at the traffic lights the engine was juddering a bit which was making the car shake when stationary. When I pulled away I noticed a puff of white/blue smoke in the rear view mirror. The car had very uneven acceleration and felt down on power.
Since then the car hasn't produced any more smoke, but has felt low on power (similar to before it was remapped) and the fuel economy is also much lower (possibly slightly lower than when it was remapped). The only thing I had done differently that day was that I filled up with 'city diesel' from Sainos, but surely this couldn't have been the issue and since then have just filled up at BP.
I am not sure if I am being paranoid but the turbo seems to be louder than usual, but have checked all the pipes connecting it and have found nothing wrong...? I have also just had it serviced and they didn't seem to notice anything either.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
(sorry for the essay)
