Ibiza PD130

hello,

looking at buying a PD130 FR or Sport.

But i see loads of sports on autotrader but some are 130 then there are 110?

how can you tell if they are really PD130?

And is there any thing i should really be looking out for?

there was never a 110 made, so thats just people selling wrong. There was a pd100 and pd130 the pd100 will have a 5speed box and the pd130 will have a 6speed box.

One main thing to look out for is knocking from the front suspension. Common culprits are worn anti-roll bars and wishbone bushes. Loads of us on here either have or are having them replaced for better parts.

Obviously full service history, cambelt needs replacing 4 yrs or 60,000 miles. check for uneven tyre wear. Make sure the correct oil has been used (VW 505.01)

They are great cars and i really enjoy driving mine. Try and go for the 130 6 speed if you can

O a side note managed to get my hands on some 130 injectors yesterday. Just got 2 pay for em on monday. The power quest is begining.

I just picked my new black magic PD130 sport up today, love it! You really can't go wrong with this car tbh.

The 130 engine is so powerful, even I think so and i've just sold my 210 LCR for this car and it 'feels' just as quick !! I’m very very pleasantly surprised

Help! Seen a Ibiza 1.9 TDI S for sale but is this a PD130? Is it the same as the Sport 6 speed? thanks!

Doubt it - they are normally 100bhp and 5 speed.

i think the tdi S is 110. not 100% sure. tried typing the registration on an insurance form yet? might shed light on it

There were no 110 Mk4's.

It'll be a 100 5-Speed.

The TDI 100 is a PD engine, the 110 is a Non-PD engine.

just found a "tdi s" number plate and it comes up like this....

reg number - NJ53TLV
car make - SEAT
car model - IBIZA SPORT TDI PD(130)
body style - 3 DOOR HATCHBACK

Does it have alloy wheels, dual optic headlamps and foglamps? If so it's not a TDI S... it's a Sport.

Sport also has black sport interior, climate control, etc.

that's not a 130 sport mate as far as I can see - no foglights, wrong alloys, headlamps are the single type rather than the dual ones on the sport...
