I am thinking of changing my PD130 FR setup, which is currently running a stage 1 remap, FMIC and turbo back exhaust, to a stage 1 hybrid.

My car has now covered 106k, the remap and a new clutch were installed last year when the mileage was at about 97k, by the last owner.

I realise that I should look to change the clutch for a stronger unit with the expected increase in power and torque, however, I am not sure what I should look to replace the clutch / flywheel with.

Is it necessary to swap the DMF for SMF, and from what I have read I am looking for maximimus of about 220bhp and 350lb/ft, so will a 'stage 2' clutch be good enough, as opposed to a paddle clutch.

I don't fully understand the difference between the two different clutches or flywheel assemblies, so any advice or recommendations on brands/setups would be well received.

Single mass flywheels are stronger and more reliable. But in a diesel they rattle like crazy. You need to get one with a weighted flywheel to quieten it down. Although I don't have it myself I'd recommend the awesomegti silent clutch kit as it seems best value for money for power you are going for

Had my awesome clutch a while now, still perfect and as mentioned its weighted to operate more quietly. Can occasionally feel a bit grabby but thats the nature of the beast.
