hi guys, i am pretty good at installing ICE did a massive tripple amp 2 sup power cap jobby to my old fiesta... just need a little advice to save me ripping apart my car before i need too....

I got a seat leon 1.4 16v s, 2001

1 - what are the speaker sizes for the front/rear in-door speakers?
2 - do they need speaker adapter plates??

3 - anyone know the best way to run a power cable from the engine bay to the boot, then wire the door speakers off that amp? i want to put it in the boot for a) space reasons and b) so i can power a sub off it aswell...

Cheers Ben

speakers in front n rear doors are of the top of me head 6 inch mids n inch tweeters, u will require adapter plates as seat have kindly put little nodgles of the alloy plate in the door! w@:k)r's!

the power cable is quite simple to run thro the car lots of nice big grommets in the bulkhead down the passenger side works well, i stripped out the inner sill covers n got the cable under the carpet away from the loom in the car.

the door speaker cable just run them inside the inner sill covers.

ill give u a tip if you dont want a strobe like headlights n interior lights put an additional batt in the boot using that power cable from the main batt, basically acts as a huge power cap!

hope this helps.

Leave out the cap, it's just a drain on the electrics and won't do anything for the sound. With the kit you're running you won't need a second battery, just use 2awg or 0awg power cable and it'll be fine.

You need some kind of adapter as the standard speakers are 40mm thick inside moulded casings. Best way is to make yourself some 36mm MDF rings and then use those as they will give you a more solid mounting point than the cheap plastic adpaters you can buy.

i have a sub in the boot of my leon fr tdi with a box i built myself. i ran the power cable one side of my car then the audio cable the other side, under the plastic skirting. sound is good with no interfirance.
