I work for an insurance company, I saw this on our intranet today:
"Alfa tops crash list on roads
Alfa Romeo drivers are the most accident prone in Britain. Almost a quarter of owners of the Italian company's sporty 147 model have made claims for a road crash, according to new figures.
Research also showed that luxury and executive cars are much more likely to be involved in accidents than small cars.

A study by insurance website Confused.com found the BMW 330 has the second-highest accident rate, with 23 per cent of owners being involved in crashes.

It was closely followed by the Mazda MX-5, Seat Leon, Alfa Romeo 156, Audi A6, Mercedes SLK, Audi A4, Porsche Boxster and the Audi A3, all with 22 per cent of owners involved in bumps.

By contrast, small cars have the lowest accident rates.

Just eight per cent of Vauxhall Nova owners have made claims over accidents.

This is followed by the Fiat Cinquecento and Rover Metro on nine per cent, Peugeot 205 (11 per cent), Peugeot 106 (12 per cent), Rover Mini and Vauxhall Corsa (13 per cent) and the Nissan Micra, Citroen Saxo and the Ford Fiesta where just 14 per cent of owners made claims for smashes. "

Really?

my mate wrote off his nova when he was 18, wrapped it around a tree that jumped out at him supposedly.

But did he make a claim? I suspect at 18 on a low value car he was TPFT so wouldn't have made a claim.

To me this says young driver not wanting to lose their no clams.........

It costs about 2p to repair a Nova! And with most young drivers having an excess of about £2,000,000, they're gonna have to make a trip down the scrappers!

hahaha,

its prob true now because there are no novas on the road as they have all been scrapped.

only ones out there now are prob driven by oaps who just have them in the garage and never drive them.
