Partly, but you have to be able to drive out of the corners also!!

Going fast has many aspects...which is why drag strips are for cars with no steering!

Its all about dumping the clutch and schanging gears!!

A good driver on the "track" has to have the ability to scrub speed off going into the bends, choose the turn in point, carry suitable speed through the corner, pick his line, hitt the apex, recognising the exit point and applying the power! For a car to go fast you need good brakes and suspension MORE than power!

Ron Haslem once raced a racing novice round Donnigton Park! The novice was on a 170 hp fireblade, Ron Haslem was on a 28 hp RS125!! Guess what won!!

That's not what it's 'all' about.. traction is just as (if not more) important - along with all of the suspension, geometry, weight distribution etc. tuning that goes with it. No point dumping the clutch if you're just going to spin the wheels.. you'll be slower than a more controlled launch..

Come on don't get touchy...only a bit of friendly banter!!

You have to admit that a vehicle fast in a straight line doesn't mean it is a fast all rounder!!

It is commonly known that 4 wheel drive cars bog off the line!! Front wheel drive are easier to light up and rear wheel drive cars are normally better suited to fast starts!!

Lol, not at all.. just making the point that drag racing isn't all 'point and squirt'.. the first statement may have sounded a bit abrupt, but that was not the intention.

Agreed! As a general rule of thumb..

I'm am majorly confused sorry...

I read in some posts (and heard it first hand from a dealer) that Revo are having problems with their re-map and the DPF.

I'm also reading people praising Custom Code's re-map as "booooooooom" all the way (another post). Also read someone as saying "If a re-map is done correctly there's no problems with the DPF". So, that said, are Revo doing it wrong? Has Custom Code got it right?

Does Revo's re-map produce better results (in theory) to Custom Code and what is a DPF by-pass?

Sorry to sound dumb!

They are all about the same to be honest ..... DPF is the limiting factor ... Running REVO and its fine .... but you need to be doing the miles to ensure the DPF light stays off, if you only do short distance i personally wouldn't bother with *any* map.
