Hello all.

Like many people on here I have a very delayed Cupra 4drive on order - Build week 44 so finally getting close.
Potentially covered in copper by the sounds of it but hopefully it won't look too bad (black paint).

I've been wondering a few things...

Winter wheels - What is the smallest wheel size that will fit?
I have some 17" Audi TT wheels with winter tyres that I will try when I get the car but just wondering if anyone else had gone this small? The wheels used to fit my old TTS which had 340 mm brakes (same as the Cupra from what I can tell) so I'm hoping they'll go on.

OBDEleven - Is it worth it? I already have a HEX+CAN VCDS lead which I think will talk to most modules on the car (I do also have access to the newer lead if needed) but does OBDEleven add anything? What are the things that are worth doing? I had a little look on my dad's Leon (2018 FR) but all I could really find was "amount to refuel" and a needle sweep.

Overall really looking forward to the car. I sold my beloved TTS at the start of the summer so I've been rolling around in a knackered old faded-to-pink Astra while waiting on the Leon!

Not sure on the MK3 specific questions. But as far as I'm aware obd11 is just a nicer front end than vcds. But can't do anything vcds can't.

I’m in exactly the same position, albeit still no build week. I have a blue car on order, so fairly annoyed about the copper additions, but nothing that can’t be sorted by throwing some £€$¥ at the problem... trying to get the colour switched, but not holding out much hope.

In terms of the winter wheels, my 17” alloys have only mm to spare over the 340mm set up on the Octavia VRS, but fingers crossed they fit.

In terms of the hex+can, I have found that it doesn’t communicate with some of the newer modules in the MY18 onward MQB cars.

I think the needle sweep is standard on the Cupra, but not sure how things work as not played around with a car with digital dash yet.

Needle sweep is standard on my 2017 67 plate Cupra. Non-digital Dash.

I’ve read that coding of the Digital Dash doesn’t work. No-one (I am currently led to believe) has got the Needle sweep to work on a Digital Dash.

I use vcds on my 17 plate fr and have done the following; needle sweep, climate control speed shown when on auto, buzzer off when drivers door open and engine running (this could have been on my pre facelift?), driving mode button light off, park pilot display (standard on cupra).

I think there are others but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
