has already been asked i no but have been looking at threads and can see one that really answer this question right my car sounded fine untill i put an induction kit on now i get the flutter i no it is bad but dont no how to stop it other than taking the induction kit off which i dont really want to do can you guys help

The dump is not bad... if your getting flutter and not a CLEAN dump, then you may have an issue...

~) Are you running standard dump valve (plastic OEM part)?

If Yes - Maybe leaking...mine did this, I bought 007P...(Alloy Re-Circ, direct replacment)

~) If not are you running a Forge 007P... if so... when was it last serviced? (servicing kits FOC from Forge)

Hope this helps...

Mike

I was told it may be my wastgate on the turbo, scared the hell outta me...it was my 007P.

...The DV is a common fault, whether OEM part is faulty or upgraded DV is not serviced...

Mike

There you go then.....

Plastic DVs are pants, upgrade to 007P...can pick these up second hand at reasonable prices, or from various suppliers on here...expect to pay around £80 brand new. Its a worth while upgrade specially if your thinking of a remap...

To confirm maybe find someone local and swap your plastic one for a Forge one, and see if car still does it...

That way you know :D

Mike

Yeah thats fine, but its not like your airbox...my induction is enclosed and got a direct Cold Air Feed, its loads louder than my airbox...

I may be wrong,.... but its worth checking, takes 5 mins to change DV....

If you were closer I would lend a hand, but as I've never heard of Haverhill I reckon its miles from Bedforshire!

Serious mate, find out if any on here is local, and ask to switch your DV for a 007P or similar... will either solve your problem or remove DV from equation.

Mike

Are you sure your vacuum hose on the top of the dump valve hasn't come of??? Mine did and it sounded like a bloody RST!!!! Just get zip tie and stick it round the top for the time being but definately get a forge one if you have the cash.

Mike, I thought the flutter is normal from the re-circ dvs. When i installed my 007p and ramair i got that fluttering sound, not too loud mind you and the dv was brand new? What do you mean by a clean dump ?
