Induction Kit HELP - Where does this thingy go

right guys, not the best with technical terms so i'm just going to guess what they're called and hope you understand lol

fitted an induction kit a couple of days ago, but it feels like the car isn't pulling the way it was before i put it on,

how i fitted it:

removed the top part of the air box and left the bottom in for the cone to sit in,
there was a thing vacuum type hose thingy that connected into the air box, I've taken that out and left it dangling, is that possible the cause?

What car is it bud? Can you post a pic of the engine bay so we can take a look

Is it a black plastic hose kinda looks like a vacume cleaner hose? Does it go from your airbox and around the front of your engine?

Right, its a 2001 seat leon TDI (110bhp) and on the original airbox there's a little thing black kinda pipe that was below the maf, and I'll try and upload some pictures tomorrow if I can, (don't think they'll let me because I haven't made 15 posts yet lol)

i'd like to know what the situation is with this as i plan on replacing the air filter with a cone in much the same way (petrol cupra though) and as i'm a newbie when it comes to cars i'm interested in what i could bump into problem-wise

i had better delet my post sorry to hijack your thread but i started a thread for the same pipe yes that pipe.
i was told by the seller of mine it was a cold start but i feel it needs a home?
