does anyone know what induction kit i should get for my 1.8t 225 cupra R? i have been told to go for a k&n but not sure; can anyone help me please? also if people could send some links to find them that would be nice and most appreciated! cheers guys
I first put a pipercross panel filter in the standard airbox, then went for a massive quikshift cone filter. Now running a Jetex cone filter which I got from Badger5 and has been the best option out of the ones I have used.
Open cone for me is the definate answer, the engine sounds so much better & I for one have had no problems with regards to performance!!
Green cotton panel filter is what im using along with a smoothed/drilled air box & a bigger cold feed. Cheap very effective and no issues with heat soak... jobs a gooden!
awrite guys, a was thinking of getin sum kind of induction kit/cold air feed.. was gona go for the cda carbon fibre one,
wat makes the jetex one so good? iv got a leon cupra r btw!
i was told the cda are too restrictive. infact i heard the cda are more restrictive than the standard air box. jetex and green cotton seem to be best, probably down to the quality of the filteration itself.
tempted to get an induction kit myself. was looking at the standard filter at the weekend and the air intake to the filter box looks pretty rubbish just seems to disappear to the side of the battery. can see how a cone filter would really help the flow of air to the engine.
how easy are they to fit? and what type of prices are you looking at for a Jetex?
I have a bmc intake, restrictive ? would I really be better off ditching the £200 bmc for a £45 jetex, seen the airflow tests on the jetex but not compared to the bmc. Please advise.
