Recently picked up a 2014 Cupra 280 and the other day, I started the car and the battery was slightly low. Car started but the infotainment screen went off and came back on to the Seat welcome screen, then got stuck. Can’t get it to go any further since and none of the buttons around the screen work. The Bluetooth still connects to my phone and plays my music though...

Have tried resetting the head unit by holding the button down for 15, just boots to the same place.

Anyone else got any suggestions?

Had this happen to me a couple of times. I tried lots of things and nothing seemed to work but next time I switched the ignition on all was ok again. Hope same applies to you. The head unit can also be temperamental when its been around freezing overnight.

Yes, it could be a temperature thing. Quite a few owners of early (2013/2014) mk7 Golfs on golfgtiforum.co.uk forum had issues with unresponsive infotainment screens in very cold weather. Issues seemed to go away once the weather warmed up.

Unfortunately it’s been stuck like it is for a week now. Car lives in a heated garage so never gets colder then 12 degrees. Screen never comes back as it gets warm in the car either.

Booked into Seat for Tuesday so we will see what they say.

Mines keeps changing stations randomly usually every time i hit a bump in the road. Another seat crap quality job. Mines also likes to freeze or fail to boot up at all
