Infotainment system dead pixels

I suppose that is the difference in treatment between buying the car from a dealer and buying private. Shouldn't make a difference but am clearly low priority :-/

What I don't understand is it took me to have to go to all this inconvience with the dealer and Seat Support, for Seat yesterday to say they are still dealing with it and have advised the dealer to speak to the warranty department. THAT THEY SHOULD OF DONE IN THE BLIMMING FIRST PLACE ON THE SPOT WHEN I WAS THERE... Instead they palmed me off to for Seat Support....

Hopefully I will have it replaced soon too, latched pixels cannot be caused by over pressure on the LCD. Dead pixels can, not latched, that is a chemical problem within the LCD... I am an electronics engineer and am not putting up for excuses that they think sound convincing to palm me off again...

Not impressed with the so called "warranty" so far... Doubt I will be extending it, might spend the money on a ECU remap instead ;)

To be fair, the garage who authorised it (Cmc Harlow) was not the dealer I purchased it from (Marshalls Cambridge), in fact the tech said I'd be better talking to Marshalls as he wasn't sure it would be covered under warranty. I said as Cmc was closer to my work & could they try to see for me rather than go to Marshalls, then buttered up the tech a bit by saying please & thank you a lot ;-) tech then agreed, said it shouldn't happen within the 3 yr manufacturers warranty period and did the business for me... I do consider myself to be lucky & stumbled across a friendly tech tho...

Success!

Finally some success, got a text from the dealer and they have agreed to replace the screen. They still weren't happy about it as apparently they haven't been having a great deal of luck getting the warranty dept to commit to replacing it 100%. However Seat Customer Care have stepped in and have told the dealer not to worry as they will make sure it is paid for by warranty.
So looks like I will be getting my screen replaced, excellent news :)
My screen has got worse over the last few weeks tbh, with more multi-coloured pixels :-/
