Most stuff that sets alight can be seen and is probably easier to deal with. This is a different beast. Not saying its more likely to set alight just more dangerous when it does

But if this stuff sets on fire then in betting the other stuff wont be far behind. Also, how likely is it that your stood in front of the engine bay, looking at it, when it does set alight? You'll be in the car, probably driving, so even if the flame is sky-blue pink with yellow dots you wont see it.

You might see smoke, but this doesn't appear to produce any. As you say other stuff may go up too, but either way I think it heightens the risk a bit.

Ok, why are we freaking out about something igniting for no reason? Besides, we'd be running 50/50 AT BEST. You're not worried about your petrol catching

I love finding out about stuff that I never knew before. I *think* it's called learning lol, so to that end, stu3y, fair play for bringing it up.

It hasn't stopped me from being utterly obsessed with WMI, but it's good to know.

I'm desperate for it now.
I've been harping on at the wife to get the Leon TerraCleaned for so long, and now there's something better!!
Get in

Just spoke to a TerraClean place near me and they confirmed what I thought: this process doesn't go near the intake side of the valves so wouldn't do any good for cleaning carbon from those. The only thing they suggested was the walnut blasting.

No indeed. Terraclean comes in at fuel point.

I was referring to a separate intake cleaning process my local Terraclean does. Entirely separate process. Really this is not going to differ much from just shoving a few cans of Wynns EGR cleaner through the intake :)
Or, it'll be the same process the currently use to clean diesel EGRs, by Terraclean....which I think is pants
