In the future I'm definately adding an amplifier to the system, but noticed that my new stereo doesn't have RCA inputs.

one of me mates suggested using a mini-jack to phono from the digital out point, but i'm not entirely sure. hopefully a genius from this site could help me please (innocent smile) :D

Thanks for the quick reply mate :D where do these connect up to exactly (sorry, being really thick tonight and always :D)

The unit also has a seperate menu so that you can turn the subwoofer on and off with a press of a button, would this utilise the signal on cable and when you press off it just switches the amp off?

thanks again

Ok now I'm really stupid, since i didn't install it myself I didn't realise that the AV cable that fits in the far lower right of the back of the stereo has RCA pre-outs for amplifiers (duh). All i need to do now is find out how the hell they got it in so I can get it out and hook up the RCA leads. but before that, buy an amplifer, and a sub, and cables :D

Think i'll just do that then, another set of removal keys :D
to be honest mate i've got my mind set on the Orion HCCA 10.4 but still don't know what 10" subs are like, but this needs 1500 watts RMS to power (found an amp already)
