Just renewed my insurance thru elephant as Swinton wants 3800 lol I got 2 year Ncb fully comp with my mum on it and a accidnt not my fault And I'm 20 and it 1009 for 10 months get me 1 years Ncb 2 months early this way

Is this about right for a new fr 1.2 tsi ? What are other people paying ?

That's not too bad. On my old cupra I paid £1100 3 years NCB 3 Years driving etc...

Another thing them NCB don't count with anyone else, where you get it 2 month early. Only your current insurance provider.

I only pay £620 for my bocanegra and im 23 with 5 years no claims. Shocking difference there D=

When they tried saying there was an accident one file they put it up to 1800 ! I told them it wasn't my fault the accident and took no liability and my insurance paid nothing out they put it down to 1009 so shows what an accident can add on need to sort out this 10 months things cause they never mentioned anything to me bout it only counting with them Maybe in 3 years time when I'm 23 mine will be about 600 I hope :/ haha cause il hopefully have 5 years Ncb if I nt have any accidents :)

Are you in a high risk postcode by any chance? I know that can bump up your premium a hell of a lot sometimes.

i have just paid £270 [esure] for mine, 65 years old, and accident free

renewed mine on thursday £797 from AXA, 8 yrs NCB and 3 points for my 1.6 16v SC sport.

I don't know how people pay so much for insurance.

20 years old with 2 "at-fault" accidents and 0 years no claims
2 Named drivers
Ibiza 1.4tsi cupra

£95 a month with admiral

Cos you probs live in the middle of no where with zero crime rate or your just lieing

I'm also with Admiral. I do live in the middle of nowhere with a low crime rate. I'm also 20, but have 3 years no claims bonus. I drive a Mk4 FR TDi, and pay almost exactly the figure that he's saying he pays. Hmm...

Come renewal mines will be in the low £500 range on the Cupra, I'll be 24 with 3NCB and a non fault claim on file.

However comparing insurance prices with people is pretty much useless unless they happen to mirror your circumstances and live in the same postcode.

I transferred to another insurer off a Bell 10month policy come renewal time and they reconsigned it with no issues. It used to be the case where some insurers wouldn't recognise Elephants 10month policy but I think everyone accepts them now as it is officially 1 years no claims.

try going on the top 3 comparison websites (DON'T give your number or make it up or you'll get battered with spam/sales calls) - jot down the cheapest n there quotes then have a look on there websites usually cheaper matey

What would I gain from telling porkies? I have a 5000 mile a year policy, car is put as parked on street (makes is cheaper) and I have both parents as named drivers which actually took £750 off the years price.. (Hint: They dont get near to driving my car)

Oh and I live on the SE London/Kent border.

The cupra was strangely cheap though... A mk1 TT 225 was £2k for the same details.

Im 24 with 4yr no claims. Got my renewal for £50 a month but after telling them ive 3points now it shot up to £61 a month! Lessons learned there!!.....
