Ive got my renewel quote through this week and its £713 fully comp. ive been driving now for one year and have one years no claims. i previously had a bike which i had two years no claims bonus from that. Churchill excepted those and they say i now have 3 years no claims! do you think any other insurance companys will except that? im doubtfull because i only passed my test in june 2006, will they say its not possible or will they just except it as thats what it states on my renewel quote.

any body even know what im going on about?:hide:

Try Admiral & Elephant, they were the lowest quotes I got by over £400 and I claimed from Admiral last year when I wrote off my last Ibiza!

Both are really reasonable, I had over 5 years claim free as a named driver and 2 years worth of claim Free PUG 205GTI driving (apparantly THE highest risk hot hatch) between 18 & 20 to which they took into account!

Plus I've never had points which worked well in my favour!

This is why tend to talk to them rather than online quote!

One of the only benefits of getting older is cheaper insurance, when i got my golf some years back i got a quote 4wks before my 25th b'day and they wanted £925 tpft:help: They also done a quote kickin in as if i'd just become 25 n it was £500 cheaper:shrug: 4wks obviously makes a lot of difference in my risk factor:rolleyes: That was the 1st policy i had on my own tho. Now paying £320ish i think full comp, with full ncb,no points on my cupra sport gti, qwhich having read some of the posts seems quite a bit considering i'm an old bird!!!:p very young at heart tho;) The joys of London i spose!

Just ringing the 19th different car insurance company

Only the insurance company I am with (HIC) have given me a quote! Adrian Flux won't quote me because I am with HIC and they can't compete because they own each other??

im 19 at the moment but 20 and the end of october

Jesus I thought my insurance was bad back in 99 on my first car at 18, had a Pug 205 GTI and paid £876 TPFT (my mate paid £1,320 3 weeks later just as it had aftermarket alloys???), first year claim free and it went down £128 2nd year again was claim free (f*ck know's how) but then spent the next 4 years on my Mum's 1.0 3 cylinder Corsa as I started working in London so drove about 30 miles a week at most and had larger bar bills to pay plus couldn't crash it if I tried!!

Paid just over £400 for my last Ibiza 2 years ago but twatted it last Dec, still got one of the best quotes from Admiral who paid out in for it in Jan .

Must also remeber that Insurers have taken a massive loss on the flooding up north this year and what easier way to re-coup money than hit the easy target!

There's so many variables, live in a low crime post code, over 25 with 0 points with 2 hot hatches, it has 2 Cat 2's and an alarm, is garaged & I commute to work by train so even with 0 NCB still not a huge risk!

you just need to be patient or get a second job!!

What happened in your crash? :p ;)

I pay 700 quid I think, TPTF, with most mods declared. But I'm on my mum's policy, so I cheat. I'm 18 by the way, a year's driving experience, no NCB, no points, etc, etc. The previous year's cover was £1100 with no mods.

That's with Elephant :)

:drive1: im going to pay monthly at the moment because im looking for a cupra sport or gti 16valver. not many around where i live. when i find one im going to sell the 1.4 and then cancel my policy. transfer the money over to a insurance company that will insure me on a gti. the best quote so far for a gti is £745 with adrian flux. still £700 for the 1.4 thou! how is that right?
