Evening all. I e got the P2015 error on my 2010 Leon FR 170. I’ve had a look but have no idea as to how I get the motor off to replace the bracket. I believe I have the plastic manifold but all the videos I’ve seen for adding the bracket show it been done already removed or having 3 screws at the front. I can only find 2 screws at the back but no way of actually undoing them. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I’ll put 2 photos on to better explain my situation. Thanks, Dave

Has anybody successfully managed to find a way to remove the actuator (I think it’s called) to add the bracket for eliminating the p2015 error code? I’ve got the plastic manifold and the bolts are at the back proving nigh on impossible to access. The aluminium manifold bolts are at the front and easily accessible.

Its manifold off, I did mine the other week. My glow plug leads didn't want to come off which made the job harder as I could sense I'd break them. I have seen a flat blade screwdriver used on a video where the end was bent which would help.

The fuel rail will need to be undone, as will the fuel lines to injectors. I'd soak the manifold bolts with penetrating fluid. One of mine snapped. Nightmare. Then once it's all off it makes sense to clean all the baked carbon off along with the EGR valve. Scrub off with wire brushes, scrape with screwdrivers and then finish with using Mr Muscle oven cleaner. Not necessarily but my swirl flaps were caked (145k) so it was 2 birds one stone.

Once back together you'll need VCDS to prime the fuel pump 4-5 times as the injectors don't like being started dry.

Hope that gives you an idea of it not being a 2 min job.

Thanks mate, I think I’ll leave it to my mechanic then as that’s a bit more than I’d like to tackle at home with limited knowledge and tools.

Quick update, after just over 4 hours I managed to fit the bracket with the manifold and fuel rail in place. I won’t lie it was a complete bitch of a job and there were quite a few explicit comments thrown but fingers crossed it’s sorted the issue. Cleared the fault code and so far it hasn’t come back on (touches wood). There’s not many jobs I wouldn’t try first but after doing this I wouldn’t fancy doing it again that’s for sure.
