how do you get the plasctic off the interior light to get to the bulbs and i dont want to break it also do they need to be canbus bulbs?

Get a knife down the sides, preferable the side facing the back of the car. Just stick it up the gap and tilt it slightly and it will come down

I've dealt with hids-direct and bought a couple of LED bulbs, and others bought HID terminator kits from it and they all work fine. You can either try that or partsulike, as suggested above, they're two good companies.

You dont need cambus bulbs i just got cheap smd ones off eday work fine

You're a lucky one dude, but almost every one here, myself included, needed can-bus ones because others give errors on the dashboard and just die out because the load is different from the one the car gives, which is the problem I am facing with my LED strips right now, except they don't give errors on the dashboard but flicker and then stop working at all.

Also facelift Leons, for some reason, detect non-canbus bulbs much quicker than pre-facelift ones.

I bought some multicolour LEDs and they worked no problem, apart from they were colour changing and the LEDs were dodgy and didn't all change colour at the same time.

My dad also noticed they were permernantly on  when the doors were closed they were on but really dimmed down, maybe thats because they weren't canbus?

Picture quality is poor but looks class when done!
