interior paint job ( plasti dip )

Hey guys the previous owner did a pretty shoddy job and resprayed the interior centre console of the car and i was just wondering has anyone ever used plasti dip on their interiors ?

my plan of attact would be sanding down the paint on top

mask off everything two coats of primer

then three coats or so of that plasti dip stuff

two coats of clear coat over that

I think plasti dip would be the best option since its a rubberised paint it will be able to flex as the plastic expands and contracts

do you think my plan is the best way forward ?

No priming or clear coat needed when plasti dipping mate, just spray it over a smooth surface and you'll be fine.

Sound buddy I may run into trouble then as the surround is that textured plastic

Yeah fair point, maybe plastic primer then sand it smooth? Never tried to be fair.

Then again, if you're going to go to the trouble of priming it, may aswell just spray it haha
