Anybody any experience with this fault?

The low oil pressure warning light appears on the dashboard when the car is cold and at low revs.

The car has been back to SEAT on 2 occasions:
1) Software update on the ECU
2) New oil pressure sensor

Neither of these things worked ive suggested my dad asks SEAT to replace the oil pump next see if that cures it? other than that im at a loss and it appears so too are SEAT.

any help would be appreciated

cheers Tom

Also forgot to add that the car isnt using loads of oil as other oil faults have shown. The oil level is at the correct level.

Wiring fault fault to the sensor maybe, never heard of this fault with this engine best to get it booked in buddy. Don't think anyone here has had this fault.

What oil is in the car? Not using classic motor oil are you lol?

Lol decided with times being hard that we would use oil at the chip fryer :)

No but on a serious note i do believe 5-30 fully synthetic oil is being used basically whatever has been spec'd out of the factory.

Its going back in again for sure but if this is another niggly fault to go with the catalogue of others then what else can go wrong with them?

Yup true, he's had a new sensor and if it isn't that. I'd love to know what they find.

Could potentially be something internal with the engine but who knows :(

Good afternoon mates,
Firstly i have to say that i'm glad to be a part of your community!

I have a Seat Leon 1.4 TSI 2008 model and i have the exact problem! The oil pressure lamp is going on at high revs!!
This started out after the screw of the camshaft gear broke! At that time i've changed 4 hydraulic tappets because they were broken!
Also i've changed the oil pressure sensor but the problem is still here!! The pressure is 1 bar and the valves have this TERRIBLE sound while working! Isn't this supposed to have 2 bars oil pressure?

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
